Don't be fooled by the name, Pete's Grill & Pizza! Proprietor, Pete Papacostas' recently opened restaurant on the corner of Fourth Street NE and Cherry Avenue NE isn't a simple pie shop. While you'll certainly get your fill of gourmet pizza, Pete's offers a surprising blend of tastes that will challenge what you've come to expect in downtown dining.
Diners will find the intimate dining room reflects the diverse menu, with columns and plaster that mimic ruins long forgotten and splashes of modern, urban, and distinctly Asian elements, including a 20 foot bamboo painting done by Greg Kandis, the General Manager. The front of house includes cozy lounge seating and exposed brick, original to the building. But, that's nothing compared to the real draw of the location – a 4,000 square foot enclosed stone patio, with a bar and bandstand set for live music and mingling throughout the evening.
